Committed to providing excellence in diagnostic imaging, Akumin is on a mission to be the preferred provider.  This growing company is currently searching for a dependable, out-going individual who enjoys working with the public to fill a key position in our organization.  The Technologist Assistant provides quality customer service to patients, family members and other visitors to Akumin facilities as well as administrative support to clinic staff.

Technologist Assistant

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner;
  • Escorting patients to patient dressing rooms and instructing the patient how to dress out for their procedure.
  • Explaining exam procedures to patients as needed.
  • Starting IV access on patients as needed using universal protection equipment and aseptic techniques
  • Properly disposing of contaminated medical supplies in the biohazard waste containers.
  • Assisted Technologist with patient requests as needed.
  • Assisting with answering incoming calls and directing calls to the appropriate party;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator


Technologist Assistant



  • Ability to multi-task while remaining focused upon providing exceptional customer service;
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required;
  • Must be reliable, flexible and motivated;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Previous experience of direct patient care in a healthcare setting.
  • CPR certification required


  • High School Graduate or equivalent.


Other Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
