PET/CT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist

PET/CT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist 


The Technologist will:

  • Perform diagnostic PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine examinations to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care to include: injection of radiopharmaceutical and/or IV contrast, the administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and network image transfers

  • Understands the contraindications associated with the administration of IV contrast, be able to recognize possible reactions and know the procedure to follow in case of a reaction

  • Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with radiation safety standards

  • Assist with the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments

  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and competency in clinical area of the practice

  • Demonstrate the ability to use all channels of communication to address inter- and intradepartmental concerns, solve problems, and address conflict


PET/CT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist 


Qualified candidates will have:

  • PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine experience is required

  • CNMT or ARRT (N) is required

  • State MRT license is required

  • CPR certification is required

  • IV Skills required


  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with at least 1 year of PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine experience


Other Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
