    Credentialing Coordinator

     

    This position will be responsible for assisting the Regional Director of Credentialing with managed care contracting for commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Workman's Comp and other payers on behalf of the organization and other related ventures. This position will also be responsible for credentialing for initial and reappointment applications for all radiologist and staff technologist.  This position will serve as the physician liaison for special company projects.

    Responsibilities

    Credentialing Coordinator

     

    • Accountable for assisting with network development, oversight, compliance, performance standards, and contracting activities
    • Responds to inquiries from managed care organizations, interfaces with internal and external customers on day-to-day credentialing issues as they arise
    • Prepares and maintains credentialing files ensuring file completion within time periods specified
    • Update/create new spreadsheet of all contracted rates by CPT; monitor to ensure getting paid contracted rates
    • Carries out database management on professional licensure, DEA and other criteria as necessary
    • Performs ongoing verification of expirables for all techs and radiologists (Le. 1 professional licensure, DEA, malpractice information, Board Certification, TB test, CPR, etc.)
    • Responsible for assisting in setting up new carriers, new radiologists and new procedures within RIS. Work closely with PACS Administrator on these tasks
    • Other projects as designated

     

    Qualifications

    Credentialing Coordinator

     

    Other Skills and Abilities

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare credentialing
    • Radiology industry experience preferred
    • Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization (both internal and external)

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
