    Medical Records Representative

     

    Akumin is a fast-growing organization.  We are currently looking for a professional, experienced and detail oriented Medical Records Representative.  The Medical Records Representative responds to requests for medical records in a timely manner according to Akumin Medical Records protocol. Performs clerical duties.

    Responsibilities

    Medical Records Representative

    • Medical Records request for Imaging services that are to be processed timely, within 15 days or by scheduled date noted in request. This is the medical records representatives’ primary job function.
    • Mail processed and checked daily
    • Deposits processed daily
    • LOP Collections
    • Any other duties assigned as requested by management

    Qualifications

    Medical Records Representative

     

    Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Secondary education preferred
       

    Productivity Range:

    • Must process request within 15 business days from date received and/or by said date listed in medical records request

    Qualifications

    • 1-year of legal background experience
    • 1-year of radiology specialty experience preferred
    • Knowledge of Excel and Word.
    • Must be highly motivated, productive, accurate and analytical
    • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills is required
    • Knowledge of how to accurately and efficiently complete affidavits and other requested legal questions provided by Attorneys and/or record Companies.

    Other Skills and Abilities

    • Familiar with all insurances.
    • Knowledge of Excel and Word.
    • Medical terminology
