  • Overview

    The Front Desk Coordinator provides quality customer service to patients, family members and other visitors to Akumin facilities as well as administrative support to clinic staff. 

    Responsibilities

    • Greeting patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner;
    • Checking patients in and out of the clinic which includes pulling charts and completing appropriate paperwork;
    • Answering incoming telephone lines and directing calls to the appropriate party;
    • Filing;
    • Mailing;
    • Faxing;
    • Maintaining inventory of office supplies and printed forms;
    • Responsible for obtaining procedure reports and submitting all necessary information to Cergis for billing purposes;
    • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

    Qualifications

    • Previous scheduling or medical office experience is required;
    • Ability to multi-task while remaining focused upon providing exceptional customer service;
    • Professional appearance and demeanor are required;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required;
    • Must be reliable, flexible and motivated;
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

    Education

    • High School Graduate or equivalent.

    • Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and
