Lead Front Desk Coordinator

Committed to providing excellence in diagnostic imaging, Akumin is on a mission to be the preferred provider.  This growing company is currently searching for a dependable, out-going individual who enjoys working with the public to fill a key position in our organization.  The Lead Front Desk Coordinator is the face of the company and plays an important role in the quality of service provided to our patients.

 

This individual will need to be flexible with their schedule as coverage for earlier or later shifts may be needed. Weekday and holiday coverage may also be discussed.

Responsibilities

Lead Front Desk Coordinator

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner;
  • Checking patients in and out of the clinic which includes completing appropriate paperwork;
  • Answering incoming telephone lines and directing calls to the appropriate party;
  • Filing;
  • Mailing;
  • Faxing;
  • Maintaining inventory of office supplies and printed forms;
  • Entering all outside reads into RIS and ensuring Radiologist receive them
  • Check RIS Fax status daily to verify all outgoing faxes went successfully
  • Back up for Accounts Payable Invoices
  • Back up for Daily Management Report
  • Front Office employee schedule and coverage
  • Monitor the week’s patient schedule to maximize capacity (eliminating 15 minute gaps)
  • Customer Service at the front desk
  • 90 day and Annual reviews of front desk coordinators with the Clinic Administrator
  • Counseling of front desk coordinators with the Clinic Administrator
  • Checking order in RIS daily to ensure the order matches what is scheduled
  • Check Mail Daily
  • Foster a positive environment and promote team work
  • Assist in training of new front desk coordinators
  • Assist Clinic Administrator with Month End Comparison Audit
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator.

Qualifications

Lead Front Desk Coordinator

  • Previous scheduling or medical office experience is required;
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining focused upon providing exceptional customer service;
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required;
  • Must be reliable, flexible and motivated;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education

High School Graduate or equivalent.

 

Other Skills and Abilities

Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
